1. Bugaboo Butterfly

The first one on our list is Bugaboo Butterfly Ultra-Compact Stroller, Bugaboo has created the Butterfly for easy travel and city living. This stroller is designed to be lightweight and easy to pick up, with a quick fold for traveling, and an innovative world-facing seat.

Let’s begin with the basics. The Butterfly weighs 16.09 lbs and is a compact stroller suitable for babies from 6 months to 4 years. There is no hassle when it comes to folding and unfolding the Bugaboo Butterfly, and we really mean that. Too many “easy fold” strollers require muscle and force to fold, but the Bugaboo Butterfly collapses with ease. To unfold, simply press the button, and lift the stroller open. When you’re ready to pack it away, press the button and push. The stroller folds naturally, and you really can do it with just one hand. It’s gravity that does the work, not you.

Compact and light, the Bugaboo Butterfly is an easy stroller to carry. Once collapsed, you can use the integrated carry strap to sling the stroller over your shoulder and carry it hands-free. Comfort is obviously a priority when purchasing a stroller, and the Bugaboo Butterfly uses an extra large seat with padded cushioning to ensure your little one is as snug as possible.

The large seat offers wiggle room for growing toddlers, while the additional padding provides support where needed. Padding also helps to absorb the movement of the stroller, for a smooth ride. The ultra-compact fold of the Bugaboo Butterfly meets the IATA allowance, meaning that the stroller is suitable for carry-on luggage. Safety is a key feature, and the Butterfly stroller uses a 5-point harness to ensure your little one is secure. The harness is strategically padded to reduce discomfort and uses a quick-click function.

However, it has a few cons: such as No Parent Facing Option, No Handlebar Adjustment, and Struggles On Some Terrain. Overall, The Bugaboo Butterfly is a convenient collapsible stroller that’s sure to appeal to a wide range of parents. We particularly love the easy fold, which allows the Butterfly to be collapsed and unfolded in seconds, with just one hand.

  • Easy one-hand fold/unfold
  • Tackles all types of terrain
  • Ultra-compact
  • Quick click harness

  • Expensive
  • Not suitable from birth
  • Doesn’t recline completely flat
  • No travel bag

2. Baby Jogger City Mini GT2

The next one on our list is the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Stroller, The City Mini GT2 has an updated design with new fabrics, forever air rubber tires, and all-wheel suspension for agility on any terrain. The signature one-hand compact fold adjustable handlebar and hand-operated parking brake provide ultimate convenience. The GT2 is easy enough to use with straightforward features, but some design choices inhibit true ease of use, like a crossbar blocking great storage access.

Baby Jogger offers an easy folding process compared to some competitors, with a straightforward process of unlocking the frame and pulling the handle on the seat bottom. It auto-locks, self-stands, and has a carry handle. The GT2 has a handbrake only that runs along the side of the frame. It is obviously sandal-foot friendly as it doesn’t involve your feet, but it somewhat feels like it will snap on your hand when you release it. We didn’t experience that, but it did give us pause during testing.

The storage bin is large enough, but they’ve redesigned the frame with a crossbar that inhibits what can be placed inside despite the 10 lbs limit. There is front access, unlike the previous version, but it doesn’t make much sense to place a bar over the bin access, and larger diaper bags aren’t going to fit in easily.

The UV 50 sunshade on the GT2 hasn’t changed much and is as impressive as ever. It is a large, full-coverage canopy with dual peek-a-boo windows with magnet covers. The harness on the GT2 is more challenging to use than the one on the previous version, which we already didn’t like. This harness has the same rethread as before, which is difficult to use with a sliding button design.

The seatback can recline almost flat with two hands on a toggle that has straps from each side that come together. It requires two hands to easily lift and lower without trouble. The GT2 is compatible with a wide range of infant car seat carriers with the purchase of adapters. It comes standard with the ability to add a Baby Jogger brand car seat.

Overall, Compared to others, this stroller ranks well, mainly due to its outstanding maneuverability and fairly lightweight design.

  • Lots of car seat compatibility
  • Fairly lightweight
  • Handbrake

  • Limited storage access
  • Prop-up footrest
  • No rain cover

3. Chicco Bravo 3-in-1

The third one on our list is the Chicco Bravo 3-in-1 Trio Travel System, The Chicco Bravo Trio comes with some industry-leading features. It comes with the Chicco Key Fit 30 Infant Car Seat that can then be transformed into the stroller by placing it in the frame. The stroller is easy to fold with one hand and stands up so that you can store it easily.

The fabric is a great bonus for many parents – super easy to clean and fashion-forward, and it certainly fits in with all types of interiors and designs. Actually, everything about this stroller is quite sleek and well-designed for parents who don’t want the standard make or model. Fitting children between 4 pounds to 30 pounds and coming in at under 30 inches, the seat by itself is a great investment, especially if you are the type of family that likes to travel longer distances.

The Latch connections and harness tension adjustment work to make it safer and more comfortable at the same time. There are some features that make it easier to set the seat up as well, like a bubble level and base recline level indicator. With so much adjustability in the seat, it continues even more into the base, with a few different options to get that just right fit. The crotch strap doesn’t adjust, but you don’t feel that too much with all of the other options.

When you use the stroller, you can remove the seat and the padding so that it is lighter. For parents who have messy children, it is definitely a way to keep your stroller clean and ready for the next road trip. The frame of the stroller itself is extremely sturdy but lightweight. It takes up very little space in your trunk.

Another reason this system is great is that it has a ton of storage. You get a great console in the handlebar where you can keep sunglasses, a drink, or a camera. It is great for a hands-free travel experience. The basket is extremely large as well so you can store a few things in there.

Overall, the Chicco Bravo Trio is one of the best travel systems that you can buy. It straddles the line extremely well between price, quality, ease of use, and consistency. It improves upon what most travel systems get wrong and is made up of high-quality materials so that it will last a long time.

  • Incredibly easy to assemble
  • Lightweight in all modes
  • Doesn’t take a lot of time to open and close

  • No snack tray
  • Canopy made out of cheaper material
  • No flap over the mesh to keep out debris or sunlight

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System is comfortable and easy to use. It comes with the Pivot stroller and the SafeMax infant car seat. The Pivot stroller has 3 riding modes for all stages of your baby’s development. The stroller can be used with all infant car seats.

Overall, Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System with SafeMax Car Seat is a great choice for families looking for a versatile, affordable, and safe travel system. It’s easy to install, and it converts from a double stroller to a single stroller in a matter of seconds.

  • Front tray and cup holder for child’s convenience
  • Multi-position recline for child’s comfort
  • One-handed folding for convenience

  • Difficult-to-unlatch buckle can be frustrating
  • Canopy adjustment and opening can be challenging
  • Limited storage space in the underneath basket

5. UPPAbaby Vista V2

The last one on our list is the UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller, The Vista v2 is a high-quality UPPAbaby stroller with the potential to move three kids at the same time. This versatile seating option works with two infant car seats, two toddler seats, two bassinets, or any two variations of those options.

The Vista v2 is extremely easy to use, earning impressive results during our testing. The Vista v2 folds with one hand, automatically locks closed, and self-stands. The handlebar has a hard plastic bump to sit on the floor that helps protect the leather-wrapped bar from damage. It doesn’t have a carry strap or handle, which is a bummer given the size. It takes two hands to unfold, but neither process is challenging.

The Vista v2 has single-action brakes that work well with no issues during testing. The brake pedals are well-placed and easy to set or release no matter what footwear you’re wearing. The design is pressed to set and press again to release. The storage bin on the Vista is something to behold with a maximum capacity of 30 lbs. This very large bin is easy to access from most sides and will hold almost anything you need for a day in the town with little ones. The inside of the bin has internal pockets to help keep things organized.

The Vista v2 canopy is one of the largest we’ve ever seen, with a zippered extension and peek-a-boo windows with covers that stay in place without closures. We like the useful peek-a-boo window and the mesh ventilation for traveling on hot days. This canopy covers almost down to the passenger’s knees when fully extended. The buckle on the Vista is all UPPAbaby and operates smoothly.

The new 5-point harness has infinite adjustment possibilities, with the shoulder straps sliding up and down straps on the seatback, making fitting easier than the previous re-thread version. We really like the new design and think parents will too. The Vista has a similar assembly to the Cruz, with only a few parts to snap into place. This stroller took us about five minutes from start to finish if you didn’t include the bassinet. The bassinet adds about 5 minutes more.

Overall, The Vista v2 is on par with other high-quality UPPAbaby products we’ve reviewed. This stroller offers impressive attention to detail and nicer materials than most of the competition in our tests.

  • Massive storage
  • Suspension
  • Giant canopy

  • Expensive
  • Heavy
  • Larger folded size
